With the dedication of the church windows by Sigmar Polke in the autumn of 2009, the Grossmünster of Zurich unveiled an important work of art. The twelve windows distinguish the interior and exterior appearance of the church, upholding the building’s no less than 150-year tradition of stained glass art. This guide charts the history of that tradition and describes and interprets the work of Sigmar Polke.
