Lavaux boasts a rich architectural heritage composed of medieval castles, winemaking estates and picturesque villages. The region’s remarkable but often lesser-known heritage is highlighted in this new, richly documented and illustrated guide. Through four walks – each approximately three hours long – visitors can criss-cross the entire Lavaux while discovering the history of its most beautiful winemaker houses, churches, medieval towers, and even a few prehistoric sites and avant-garde villas.
This practical, pocket-sized guidebook includes introductory articles by Laurent Auberson, Bruno Cortésy and Denyse Raymond and each building is accompanied by a description and photos by Jeremy Bierer.
